Beautiful beachfront location, amazing staff mentoring your kids, seaside s’mores, and family-friendly everything!
Bring your family to our one-of-a-kind Family Camp and experience a vacation unlike any other. For over 50 years, Campus by the Sea has delivered a unique Christian vacation experience on Catalina Island, giving families a chance to play together, eat together, worship together, and grow together. We want you to unplug and have a blast as you re-engage with each other. Our private cove offers recreation and activities for the entire family, and our program offers intentional faith development designed to strengthen your walk with Jesus. Come Away, Meet God, and Be Renewed as a family and build a legacy of lasting faith.

The Unshakeable Family

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Rod and Heather Fletcher are excited to host you and your family for Family Camp. Rod is the Executive Director of Campus by the Sea and has a lifelong history here at camp. Our Family Camp program has been foundational in Rod and Heather’s marriage and parenting journey as they intentionally raised three boys to follow Jesus.

Rod and Heather look forward to engaging with you and connecting you with other families so that you feel encouraged as parents and as a family unit in your pursuit of God’s heart.

SPEAKERS

Our hand-picked speakers will teach from the Bible and share their experiences as pastors, parents, and spouses. They desire to help you grow in your understanding of who God is and gain clarity in how He is calling you to live out His truth through you.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our 6-day, 5-night Family Camp includes lodging, meals, kids’ program, activities, recreation, and the chartered ferry to our private cove. We offer age-based programs and activities for kids from infants to college age, as well as speakers and small groups for adults. For families with young children, we offer childcare opportunities throughout the week in addition to the morning kids’ program. Our desire is that this will be a vacation where you play as a family and experience Jesus in unexpected ways.

  • Age-relevant programs for kids 0-college age

MID WEEK OPEN DAY

Mid-week, you have the opportunity to hike into Catalina’s iconic town of Avalon, a charming Mediterranean-style town with restaurants, shops, and a beach town vibe that is unmatched on the West Coast.

There are great food and ice cream options and opportunities to parasail, mini golf, or rent a golf cart to explore the town and unique aspects of the island.

Families with young kids may find it easier to stay in camp and use the complimentary two hours of childcare so that you and your spouse can snorkel, kayak, hike, or take a nap without stress or interruption.

“The best part of Family Camp is the facilitation of the family as a whole from the youth to the adults. Family Camp was everything we were looking for, and we wish we found it sooner!”

- Tony Aguilar

“I love no thinking and having to be the fun maker. I love that I don’t have to think, cook, clean, or plan. Kids get to actually be kids here!”

-Hallie Cooper
